The National Weather Service is accepting student volunteer applications through Monday, July 20.
Organizers are calling on college students who are interested in weather and community service to apply. The application can be submitted at www.weather.gov/meg/volunteer.
The program aims to involve students in weather-related activities and community outreach efforts, according to a NWS spokesperson.
Applicants are encouraged to share the opportunity with interested students and colleagues.
