A Heat Advisory remains in effect for areas along and west of the Mississippi River from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service Memphis, Tennessee.
The advisory warns of heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees. Near-record to record warmth is expected Monday and Tuesday as an upper-level ridge builds across the Lower Mississippi Valley.
