Mississippi agencies flag October deadlines for dealers, tax filers and grants

Motor vehicle dealer renewals due Oct. 31

The Mississippi Department of Revenue is reminding motor vehicle dealers to renew their license before the Oct. 31 deadline. The post says dealers can log into their DOR Motor Vehicle e-Services account to renew online, and they can also view instructions and the application packet on the department’s website.

The accompanying graphic, using Mississippi Department of Revenue branding, says “Motor Vehicle Dealers” and reminds them to renew their dealer license before the end of October.

Income tax extension deadline comes Oct. 15

The Mississippi Department of Revenue says taxpayers who filed for an income tax extension must submit the return by Thursday, Oct. 15. The agency also directs readers to its website for a resource, and the graphic repeats the message as an “Income Tax Extension Deadline” reminder with the Oct. 15 date.

Public safety grant deadlines move to Oct. 15

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety says it has extended the deadline to Oct. 15 for three Office of Justice Programs funding opportunities: Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT), JAG Drug Court Programs and the Title II Formula Grants Program. The department says applicants can download RFP guidelines, application checklists and budget worksheets from its justice programs funding page and submit completed applications to OJP@dps.ms.gov.
