No Mardi Gras Parade for 2021 in New Orleans
Due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions, the city of New Orleans revealed on its website that Mardi Gras parades will not be permitted to take place in the city for the year of 2021.
The city can not officially stop all celebrations due to the fact that Mardi Gras is a religious holiday, but the celebrations will look vastly different due to coronavirus procedures and guidelines.
For instance, few Mardi Gras balls will be held inside the city limits, and the balls will only be permitted to operate by invitation only. General public admission will not be allowed.
