Alcorn County Electric members voted unanimously to change their charter to allow the CO-OP to provide broadband services.

Results of Vote to Amend the Charter:

904 – Yes
0 – No

Our membership have spoken loud and clear. The Amendment to the Charter of ACE Power was unanimously approved at our Annual Meeting of the Membership at 10am this morning. This Charter Amendment will allow ACE to provide broadband services to the membership. However, a decision will still need to be made by the board of directors to proceed after feasibility studies have been fully evaluated.

After evaluation of feasibility studies, the next step is presenting a business plan to the board of directors, then authorization by the board to proceed with what will prove to be a long-term project. We look forward to this next phase of project development and will keep you informed as we go.

Thank you to all of the members who were able to cast a vote, either in person or by proxy, and let your collective voices be heard.
