Corinth Veterans Day Parade Set for Nov. 11 Downtown
The Corinth Veterans Day parade returns to downtown on Wednesday, Nov. 11, with a 10 a.m. start and a new finish line this year. Organizers are inviting veterans, families and local groups to join in, and the deadline to be added to the lineup is Friday, Nov. 6.
Corinth Veterans Day Parade Route and Lineup
Participants will line up at 9 a.m. behind First Baptist Church. The parade will travel along Fillmore Street and end at Trailhead Park.
The new ending point is a result of construction work downtown. “The courthouse is still under renovation. So we will end at Trailhead Park this year,” parade director Tina Hamlin told the Daily Corinthian.
- Date: Wednesday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day)

Free Lunch for Veterans at the Corinth VFW
After the parade, the Corinth VFW will serve soups and sandwiches free to veterans at 1 p.m. at its post. Hamlin, who volunteers with the VFW, said the public is also welcome for a small donation.
Why Organizers Want More Veterans to March
Hamlin said the parade is about more than the march itself. She noted that many veterans don’t realize there are resources available to help them with everyday needs, and that taking part could connect someone with that help.
“To me it’s a great way to honor all Veterans and show they have support within our community,” Hamlin said. She added that her own family has a history of service, including a son who is still serving.
The Corinth parade has been a Veterans Day tradition for years. Residents who can’t march are encouraged to line the route along Fillmore Street to cheer on the veterans and spread the word to friends and neighbors.
How to Take Part
Veterans, civic clubs, school groups, churches and businesses that want a spot in the lineup should contact Hamlin through the Corinth VFW before the Nov. 6 deadline. Spectators don’t need to register and can simply find a spot along the route before the 10 a.m. start.
Because the parade falls on a Wednesday, people heading downtown that morning should allow extra time for parking and expect traffic around Fillmore Street and the lineup area near First Baptist Church while the parade is underway.
