Felony Drug Arrest
On 03/17/23, Detective Oglesby and Detective Suitor observed a white car spinning a donut in the intersection of
Alcorn Drive and Corder Drive.
Detectives initiated a traffic stop and the driver was identified as Charles Derrick. Detective Oglesby observed a clear baggy hanging out of Mr. Derrick’s pant’s pocket and upon further investigation had a crystal like substance inside.
Mr. Derrick was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance “Methamphetamine”.
The narcotics will be sent to the State Crime Lab for confirmation testing and the case will be presented to an Alcorn County Grand Jury.
