NWS Memphis says Corinth will see frost Sunday and Monday morning

The National Weather Service in Memphis says temperatures in the 30s and cool high pressure will bring early morning frost to Corinth on Sunday and Monday. In the forecast graphic, Corinth is listed at 34 degrees Sunday morning and 35 degrees Monday morning.

The weather service said Sunday and Monday will bring the region's coldest weather since this past spring, with widespread temperatures dipping into the 30s that could produce frost or freezing conditions. Its graphic also points to a secondary cooldown late in the week.

The Corinth forecast table shows lows of 38 on Tuesday, 43 on Wednesday, 42 on Thursday, 35 on Friday and 30 on Saturday. The update was posted Saturday afternoon and shows another cold stretch developing after a brief midweek warmup.

A second educational graphic from the weather service says clear skies, calm to light winds, cool temperatures and local topography can help frost form. It also says temperatures from 33 to 39 degrees, along with some moisture, can promote ice crystal development.
