Arkansas offers velvet buck permits for September 2026 season

Arkansas wildlife officials announced that Velvet Season Permits are now available for the upcoming Velvet Buck Season, scheduled for September 11-13, 2026.

The permits can be purchased where hunting and fishing licenses are sold. Residents will pay $10 for the permit, while non-residents will have it included in their $100 deer permit.

The three-day archery season takes place exclusively on private lands. Only legal bucks may be harvested, and hunters are required to report any harvest and submit samples for chronic wasting disease testing.
