Mississippi Department of Wildlife Promotes National Shooting Sports Month

August is National Shooting Sports Month, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. The agency is encouraging residents to explore outdoor shooting activities during the month.

MDWFP offers shooting facilities for all experience levels, including sporting clays, rifle and pistol shooting, and archery. The facilities provide opportunities for beginners and seasoned shooters alike.

The department recommends spending a day at a local shooting range to celebrate the month. More information about nearby facilities can be found on the MDWFP website.
