A flash flood warning has been issued for Friars Point, Mississippi; Marvell, Arkansas; and North Tunica, Mississippi, until 7:15 p.m. CDT, according to the National Weather Service.
Radar estimates indicate that between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen in the affected areas over the past few hours, increasing the risk of flooding, authorities said.
Residents in the warned areas are advised to remain alert and take precautions to avoid floodwaters, which can pose serious safety hazards. No additional details on road closures or evacuations were provided.
