Flooding Possible in Phillips County and Surrounding Areas

Radar estimates show over 5 inches of rain in Walnut Corner, Marvell, Lexa and Helena-West Helena, prompting concerns about flooding in Phillips County, according to the National Weather Service.

A flash flood warning is in effect until 7:15 p.m. CDT for Friars Point, Mississippi; Marvell, Arkansas; and North Tunica, Mississippi. Radar estimates indicate 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen in the past few hours in these areas.

Authorities advise residents to stay alert and follow local weather updates as heavy rainfall continues to threaten flash flooding in the region.
