Mid-South Faces Week of Persistent Heat, Limited Relief

Hot conditions are forecast to persist throughout the Mid-South through the next week, with limited relief expected, according to weather reports.

Afternoon highs are expected to climb back into the 100s as early as Sunday. Heat index values could range from 100 to 111 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related illnesses during the prolonged heatwave.
