Northeast Mississippi Community College offers limited spots for Fall 2026 HSE and career training program
Northeast Mississippi Community College is accepting applications for its MI-BEST Program, with only eight spots remaining for Fall 2026, college officials said.
The program allows eligible students to earn their high school equivalency (HSE) while enrolling in a career training pathway. Participants may also receive assistance with tuition, books, supplies, and other supportive services, according to the college.
Applicants must meet certain criteria, including being a single parent and needing to earn an HSE. Candidates also need to have a Bronze-level WorkKeys certificate or higher, college officials added.
Available career pathways include certified nursing assistant, emergency medical technician, industrial maintenance, medical administrative assistant, welding, and phlebotomy.
Interested individuals can contact Amanda Janes at adjanes@nemcc.edu for more information or to determine eligibility, college officials said.
