Mississippi extends tax deadlines for Tropical Storm Arthur victims

Mississippi is following federal extensions for victims of Tropical Storm Arthur, which struck on June 18, 2026, the Mississippi Department of Revenue announced.

Taxpayers in Covington, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Pearl River, Stone, and Wayne counties now have until Feb. 1, 2027, to file their individual and corporate income tax returns, pass-through entity tax returns, and quarterly estimated payments, the department said.

The extensions apply to filings originally due during the period affected by the storm. The department provided a link to the official notice for more details.

These extensions align with federal aid programs aimed at assisting storm victims with their tax responsibilities, officials said.
