Mississippi Medicaid Spent $10.5 Million on Illegal Aliens, Auditor Finds
Mississippi State Auditor Shad White announced that he commissioned an analysis earlier this year to investigate why the state’s Medicaid program had not previously reported spending on care for illegal immigrants, despite federal requirements.
The Mississippi Division of Medicaid identified approximately $10.5 million in expenditures for Medicaid recipients classified as illegal aliens from fiscal year 2023 through fiscal year 2025, White said.
