The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks announced that the draw application period for the 2026 Public Waters alligator season will open June 1 and close June 12.
The season is scheduled from noon on August 28 to noon on September 7. All applications for the season will now be submitted through the department’s MDWFP Hunt Fish License System.
Applicants are encouraged to create an account in the new license system before the draw period begins. More information about the application process is available on the department’s website at mdwfp.com.
