Mississippi wildlife officials to join Operation Dry Water during July 4 weekend
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) will join the national Operation Dry Water campaign during the upcoming July 4 holiday weekend.
Operation Dry Water aims to remove impaired boat operators from waterways and raise awareness about the dangers of boating under the influence.
MDWFP plans to increase enforcement efforts, deploying all available conservation officers to patrol Mississippi’s lakes and rivers. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance safety on the water during the busy holiday period.
Officials encourage boaters to follow safety guidelines and avoid operating vessels while under the influence to ensure a safe holiday for all. The campaign seeks to keep Mississippi’s waterways safe and enjoyable for everyone during the Independence Day celebrations.
