Most of Mississippi expected to stay dry with scattered showers in the north

Most of Mississippi will stay dry, according to weather forecasts. However, a few showers are expected in the northern region of the state.

Temperatures will be cooler, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s, the National Weather Service said.

Forecasters advise residents to be prepared for the varying weather conditions, especially in the northern areas where showers are possible.
