Multiple Lee County defendants sentenced for narcotics offenses

Multiple defendants in Lee County were sentenced this week for narcotics offenses in Circuit Court, according to a news release from the First Circuit District Attorney’s Office.

Judge John R. White sentenced Tellie Mairidith, 49, to 40 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking methamphetamine on August 24. Mairidith must serve 10 years without the possibility of parole or early release, with five years of post-release supervision. His case was investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

Gregory Vincent Baker, 44, received a 60-year sentence after pleading guilty to multiple counts of selling and possessing methamphetamine on the same day. Judge White suspended 35 years of the sentence, leaving Baker with 25 years to serve, plus five years of post-release supervision. The North Mississippi Narcotics Unit investigated Baker’s case.

Corintheis Cullins, 31, was sentenced to 40 years after pleading guilty to trafficking methamphetamine on August 26. He is required to serve the entire eight-year sentence without parole or early release, followed by five years of post-release supervision. His case was also investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit.

The District Attorney’s Office commended the ongoing efforts of the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, emphasizing their role in protecting the community from illegal narcotics. Assistant District Attorney Megan French prosecuted the cases on behalf of the state.
