Northeast was awarded the 2026 Engineering Excellence Honor Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Mississippi, the institution announced Thursday.
The award recognizes the work of Cook Coggin Engineers on the North East Mississippi Community College Football Field Resurfacing Project. The project reflects the quality and attention to detail dedicated to the college’s campus improvements, according to a news release.
Northeast thanked Kent Geno, president of Cook Coggin Engineers, for his ongoing partnership and support. The college credited Geno’s leadership and vision for helping enhance campus facilities and create spaces conducive to student success.
Northeast said partnerships like this strengthen the college and contribute to its growth, emphasizing that the improvements are about building futures as well as facilities.
