National Weather Service officials issued an update at 11:30 a.m., warning of strong to severe storms expected across northeast Mississippi this afternoon.
The primary threats include damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flooding, according to the forecast.
Meteorologists also noted that the possibility of a tornado cannot be ruled out as storms develop in the region.
Residents are advised to stay alert and monitor local weather updates throughout the day.
