A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri until 9 p.m. CDT, according to the National Weather Service.
The watch includes portions of northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel. Forecasters warn of the potential for damaging wind gusts and large hail in the affected areas.
Residents are advised to stay alert and monitor local weather updates as conditions could change rapidly.
No injuries or damage have been reported at this time.
