Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Parts of the Mid-South

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of the Mid-South through 8 p.m. CDT, according to the National Weather Service.

The watch warns of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and heavy downpours. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay alert and seek shelter if storms develop.

Officials have not reported any confirmed severe weather incidents yet, but urge the public to remain cautious as conditions may change.
