Severe weather forecast issued for parts of Tennessee and Mississippi

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a forecast update, indicating a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms for parts of northeast Mississippi and western Tennessee along the Tennessee River.

The main threat from storms is expected to be damaging winds, with a low chance of a brief tornado. An isolated risk of flooding is also present due to heavy rainfall, according to the weather service.

The forecast is in effect starting Tuesday morning, and residents in the affected areas are advised to stay alert for weather updates and take precautions as necessary.
