Severe Weather Threatens Parts of Arkansas and Missouri with Damaging Winds and Heavy Rain

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued an update on severe weather expected this morning. A slight risk, level 2 out of 5, is in effect for parts of extreme northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel.

Forecasters warn of damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall as the primary threats. A 2% tornado risk is also embedded within the slight risk area.

While confidence in a tornado occurring remains low, officials emphasize that it cannot be entirely ruled out. Residents in the affected regions are advised to stay alert and monitor local weather updates.

Additional details and safety tips are available through local meteorological sources and the National Weather Service.
