Waterfowl WMA Draws Application Period Opens October 1

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks announced that the application period for Waterfowl WMA Draws will open on Wednesday, October 1, 2026, and will close on October 15.

The agency also reminded hunters that the draw hunt application process has changed due to the launch of a new license system earlier this year. Hunters are encouraged to create an account in the new system if they do not already have one.

More information on how to apply is available on the MDWFP website at https://www.mdwfp.com/wildlife-hunting/wma-draw-hunts.
