NEMCC livestock judging clinic set for Dec. 3 in Booneville
Northeast Mississippi Community College says its third annual livestock judging clinic will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prentiss County Agri-Center in Booneville. The post says the clinic is being hosted by the NEMCC livestock judging team and NEMCC FFA alumni & supporters in conjunction with the Prentiss County 4-H Club.
The clinic is for youth ages 8 to 18 and is designed to give participants hands-on practice with all four livestock species. NEMCC says students can choose between novice and advanced classroom sessions, giving both beginners and more experienced judgers a place to work at their own level.
Registration costs $20 per person or $60 per four-person team, and lunch is provided. The college’s post directs participants to register through the event form shared with the announcement.
NEMCC says the clinic is meant to help young people strengthen their livestock evaluation and reasoning skills. The event is being promoted as a practical training opportunity for students who want more experience in judging livestock.
