Prentiss County Recovery Center Opens in Frankstown Oct. 20
A new Prentiss County recovery center is preparing to open in the Frankstown community. The Shook Family Foundation, led by Amy Shook, will launch a God’s House of Hope location offering support for people dealing with addiction and life instability, the Daily Corinthian reports.
What the Frankstown Center Will Offer
Shook, who founded God’s House of Hope in Nettleton and grew up in the Booneville area, says the Prentiss County site will provide recovery support, reconciliation and life-skills help. Nick Coyle is co-leading the effort. The group bought a vacant building, remodeled it, and has cleaned up the surrounding area, with more community projects and beautification planned.
Shook said she hopes to help people struggling with addiction, life instability and mental health challenges get a second chance and reconnect with loved ones. After 13 years in her own recovery, she said, returning to her hometown roots is exciting, and the group has long worked to take people out of Prentiss County for addiction help and now wants to offer that help locally.
Opening Day Details
- When: Tuesday, Oct. 20, with a soft opening from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
