Afternoon update keeps very hot weather in place through Monday

In a Saturday afternoon update, the National Weather Service in Memphis said very hot temperatures were expected to continue into Monday, with a weak cold front bringing slightly cooler temperatures toward the middle of next week. Sunday storm outlook keeps only a low chance of showers Monday night

In a Sunday update, the National Weather Service in Memphis said a cold front will sweep across the area Monday night, bringing a low 20% to 30% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. The agency said widespread heavy rainfall is not expected, and the graphic noted a low damaging wind gust threat. The graphic was updated at 12:58 p.m. Sunday.
