Corinth Comic Con Returns to Crossroads Arena on Halloween

Halloween in Corinth will have a pop-culture twist this year. The Corinth Comic Con returns for its seventh year on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crossroads Arena, 2800 S. Harper Road.

Organizers promise vendors, celebrity voice actors, gaming and card tournaments, tabletop games, a cosplay contest, live wrestling and family activities. Advance tickets are $20 plus service fees online, according to the event’s website. Fans can skip the fees by buying advance tickets in cash at Corinth Gaming Center.

Corinth Comic Con Guests and Panel Schedule

The published schedule lists question-and-answer sessions with three voice actors in Panel Room 1 starting at noon:

  • Joe Whyte Q&A
  • Chuck Huber Q&A
  • Candi Milo Q&A
  • A magic show with Braden Foster
  • The Cosplay Showcase, followed by Cosplay Karaoke

Huber is known for voicing Android 17 in Dragon Ball Z, and Whyte voiced Chris Redfield in early Resident Evil games, the Daily Corinthian reported. Organizers note the schedule is subject to change.

Cosplay Contest

  • Sign-ups run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
  • Prejudging starts at noon in Panel Room 2. Each contestant gets up to two minutes to explain how the costume was made.
  • The Cosplay Showcase begins at 4 p.m.
  • Craftsman entrants must have made at least 60% of their costume. Prop weapons must be checked and tagged by staff before judging.

Gaming, Cards and Wrestling

Gamers can play Street Fighter 6 and other titles, along with free-play games all day. Card players will find Magic: The Gathering events, including a Vintage Cube draft and Commander play, plus Pokémon trading. Tabletop fans can join two Dungeons & Dragons one-shot adventures at 1 and 3 p.m. or try free-play board games. EPW Wrestling closes the day at 6 p.m. in the main hall.

Event owner Jonathan Booker told the Daily Corinthian the event will also feature a car show, trunk-or-treating, bounce houses and giveaways, including a gaming PC. Because the event falls on Halloween, many families are expected to make it part of their trick-or-treat plans.
