Trail of Treats Returns to Crossroads Regional Park Oct. 20

Corinth’s biggest Halloween event is back. The Corinth Trail of Treats returns Tuesday, Oct. 20, to Crossroads Regional Park, where more than 20 vendors will decorate booths and hand out treats to children 12 and under, according to the Daily Corinthian.

Trail of Treats Hours and Details

  • General public: 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Special needs visitors: 5:30 to 6 p.m.
  • Who it’s for: Kids 12 and under collect treats along the trail.
  • Supervision: Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Extras: Live music and other activities, plus popcorn and hot chocolate.

Now in its ninth year, the event draws a big crowd. Park Director Skylar Crayton estimated attendance at 6,000 to 7,000 people, including about 3,000 to 4,000 children.

Special Needs Hour Gets Longer

The early session for visitors with special needs was added last year and has been expanded to 30 minutes this year. Crayton said those visitors are welcome to walk the trail with the general public, but the earlier time lets them go through before the music and crowds arrive.

Vendors Go All Out

Vendors are encouraged to bring costumes and elaborate decorations, so families can expect themed booths along the route. The park is also considering expanding the event next year, when the Trail of Treats reaches its 10th anniversary.

Crossroads Regional Park is also preparing for its next seasonal event, a Christmas lighting. Check the park’s official channels for dates.
