Kossuth broke open a scoreless tie with a big 4th inning and never looked back as they took a 7-0 win over Nettleton on Tuesday to take a 1-0 lead in their best of three series.

Kossuth’s Hank Eaton and Nettleton’s Cade Oswalt traded scoreless inning but a Jack Johnson 3 run homer in the bottom of the 4th broke the game open and the Aggies never looked back.

Hunter Hutchens and Bryson Jackson added RBI’s in the 4th and Ashton Knight laced a homer to center field in the 5th to close out the scoring.

Hank Eaton finished with 10 strikeouts for the Aggies. Eaton now has 94 strikeouts on the season and an ERA under 1.

The Aggies are at Nettleton for game 2 as they look to close the series out. Game 3 will be back at Kossuth if it is needed.
