SENATOBIA, Miss. — Northeast Mississippi families will soon have another safe, anonymous option in a moment of crisis. Safe Haven Baby Boxes and the Senatobia community will hold a blessing and official unveiling of the newest Safe Haven Baby Box at Highland Hills Medical Center on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 10 a.m.
The box, located at Highland Hills Medical Center at 401 Getwell Drive in Senatobia, will be the 476th Safe Haven Baby Box in the nation and the 11th in Mississippi, expanding access to safe, anonymous infant surrender for mothers in crisis across the region.
Organizers extended special thanks to Sav-A-Life, Executive Director Margie Casey and the organization’s board, Highland Hills Medical Center CEO Jenny Miller and the hospital’s Board of Trustees, along with local government officials, community churches, volunteers, and donors throughout Senatobia, Tate County, Batesville, and surrounding areas whose support made the installation possible.
“We are the only organization providing complete anonymity and we want these mothers to know we are there for them and their infant before and following a surrender,” said Safe Haven Baby Boxes founder Monica Kelsey.
The public is encouraged to attend the blessing ceremony and learn more about how Safe Haven Baby Boxes protect vulnerable infants and support parents who choose a safe, legal alternative in moments of crisis.
