The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, has issued a heat advisory through 8 p.m. today, as temperatures remain high and the risk of heat-related illnesses increases, according to officials.
In addition to the heat, the forecast calls for a marginal risk of severe weather today, with the possibility of damaging winds and heavy downpours. The threat of severe weather is expected to intensify tomorrow, with a slight risk of storms, and return to a marginal risk on Sunday, the weather service said.
