Mississippi at risk for severe weather through Tuesday night
Most of Mississippi is under a severe weather threat this afternoon through Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The agency warns residents could experience severe storms, damaging winds up to 60 mph, hail up to quarter size, and a brief tornado. The risk extends across much of the state, prompting officials to advise people to stay weather aware.
Authorities recommend having multiple ways to receive alerts and monitoring local updates closely as the weather system moves through the region.
