Multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms are forecast across parts of Tennessee through Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.
A marginal risk — level 1 out of 5 — for strong to severe storms is in effect for today. The primary threats include damaging winds and localized heavy rainfall, the agency said.
The threat of heavy rainfall will persist and increase overnight, especially in the far northeast portions of West Tennessee. Forecasters warn that showers and thunderstorms may train over the same areas, potentially causing higher rainfall totals in those locations.
Residents are advised to stay alert for weather updates and be prepared for possible localized flooding and damaging winds during this period.
