Mississippi Disaster Assistance Center Reminds Residents of Application Deadline
The Disaster Service Center in Wilkinson County is open to assist residents affected by the severe storms that occurred on May 6th and 7th, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
Residents applying for disaster assistance will need to provide their Social Security number, contact information, household income before taxes, damage details, insurance information, and direct deposit information, the agency said.
Applicants do not need to visit the center in person. They can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, through the FEMA App, or by calling 1-800-621-3362. The deadline to submit applications is August 31st, officials added.
