Mississippi residents have one week to apply for winter storm disaster assistance
Residents in counties impacted by winter storms from Jan. 23 to Jan. 27 have one week remaining to apply for disaster assistance, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency announced.
Applicants can submit their requests online, by phone, through the FEMA App, or by visiting Disaster Service Centers in several counties. The centers are located in Alcorn, Lafayette, Panola, Leflore, Benton, Yazoo, Carroll, Coahoma, Montgomery, Tallahatchie, Pontotoc, Marshall, and Tishomingo counties.
The deadline to apply is approaching quickly, and residents are encouraged to seek aid before it expires, according to the agency.
