The Mississippi Department of Public Safety and Mississippi Capitol Police will host National Night Out on Oct. 6 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and aims to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community, according to organizers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet officers and enjoy an evening of community engagement. The event is open to local residents and families.
Veterans Memorial Stadium is located at 2531 N. State Street in Jackson. Organizers encourage residents to come out and participate in the community-building event.
