The National Weather Service is accepting applications from college students for its virtual volunteer program for the 2026-2027 academic year, according to a news release.
Participants will work with NWS meteorologists to create weather forecasts, conduct research, and engage in other activities. The program aims to provide students with hands-on experience in meteorology and related fields.
Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications by July 20. Additional details about the program and application procedures are available on the NWS website.
