Prentiss County charges man with issuing bad checks totaling over $4,000
Prentiss County authorities have charged Brian Lee Jones of Walnut, Mississippi, with two counts of issuing bad checks, according to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy A.J. Navarro took the initial report after the victim said they received two bad checks totaling $4,185.82. The victim signed affidavits, leading to the issuance of warrants for Jones’s arrest.
Jones was taken into custody, and Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set his bond at $20,000. The case is scheduled to be presented to the next Prentiss County grand jury by Investigator Kolby Knight. Investigators Torie Jumper and Aaron Stolz also assisted in the investigation.
