Alcorn County to Feel Effects of Tropical Storm Francine

Tropical Storm Francine is currently tracking toward Mississippi.

According to a press release from Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, citizens are encouraged to prepare for potential severe weather and damage.

The impact of Tropical Storm Francine is expected to start being felt on Wednesday, September 11. Alcorn County citizens will potentially experience weather as a result beginning on Thursday, September 12.

Although this is the expectation, Mississippi Emergency Management Agency cautions those potentially affected to be mindful that the weather may change at any time, and to continue to monitor the weather conditions and watch for the latest updates.
