Rainfall forecast through Saturday decreases as Tropical Storm Arthur shifts

Forecast rainfall totals through Saturday have decreased, according to meteorologists. The decline is attributed to the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur taking a more southeasterly path, reducing rainfall in some areas.

The highest rainfall amounts are expected in parts of northeast Mississippi, where around 1.5 inches of rain could fall. Other regions are expected to see less rainfall as the storm’s track shifts away from the area.

Officials advise residents to stay updated on local weather alerts and prepare accordingly, but the decreased forecast offers some relief from earlier concerns about heavy rains.
