KNQA radar offline due to mechanical failure, officials rely on alternative tools

The KNQA radar is currently out of service due to a mechanical problem, according to officials.

For tonight’s threat of severe storms, meteorologists will rely on surrounding radar sites and satellite imagery to assess storm strength and track potential hazards.
