Mississippi Opens Disaster Centers for Storm Damage Assistance

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is opening five Disaster Service Centers on Tuesday to assist residents impacted by Tropical Storm Arthur, which occurred June 18-20, 2026.

The centers will open at noon and are located in Hancock, Harrison, Pearl River, and Stone Counties. They are designed to help residents apply for disaster assistance related to the storm, which is designated as disaster number DR-4930-MS.

To apply for aid, individuals should bring their Social Security number, contact information, household income before taxes, damage details, insurance information, and direct deposit information, according to the agency. Assistance can also be requested online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-FEMA, or through the FEMA App.

Officials urge residents affected by the storm to utilize these resources to seek help amid recovery efforts.
