Two Severe Thunderstorm Watches in effect for parts of the Mid-South

Two severe thunderstorm watches are in effect through this evening for portions of the Mid-South, according to the National Weather Service.

A watch means that weather conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to develop. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay alert and be prepared for changing weather conditions.

No severe weather warnings have been issued at this time, but authorities urge residents to monitor local updates and have emergency plans in place.
