Booneville Fall Festival Set for Oct. 17 Downtown

The Booneville Fall Festival comes back to historic downtown Booneville on Saturday, Oct. 17, with live music on two stages, local artisans, food vendors, and a long list of free activities for kids. Booneville Main Street Association, which runs the event, is asking everyone to “meet us at the Triangle” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Main Street calls it Booneville’s biggest downtown celebration of the year, a day for families, friend groups, and even class reunions to spend a fall Saturday on the square.

What’s planned at the Booneville Fall Festival

According to the association’s announcements, festival-goers can expect:

  • Live music all day on two stages
  • Local artisans, makers, and arts and crafts vendors
  • A petting zoo and train rides
  • A “Dinosaur Crew” exhibit
  • Axe throwing for adults, with a mini version for kids
  • Free activities for all ages

Food is a big part of the day. Main Street says vendors will be serving smoked barbecue, fried catfish, Cajun seafood plates, smash burgers, fried fruit pies, lemonade, and snow cones, among other festival favorites.

Official festival T-shirts are also available this year. Main Street said Ivy + Linen Boutique designed the shirts.

Vendor scam warning

Vendor applications closed Sept. 20. Ahead of that deadline, Main Street warned vendors about scammers posing as festival organizers. The association said it is the official manager of the festival and will not ask for payment through Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Facebook Messenger, or text message.

Anyone who gets a message like that should not send money. The only official contacts for the festival, according to Main Street, are:

  • Email: mainstreet@booneville-ms.gov
  • Phone: 662-416-9278
  • Website: VisitBooneville.com

Planning your visit

The festival centers on the Triangle in downtown Booneville, the city’s historic business district in Prentiss County. Booneville bills itself as the “City of Hospitality,” and Main Street says the goal is for visitors to explore, eat, shop, and listen to music while they’re downtown.
