Disaster Unemployment Assistance Available in 36 Mississippi Counties

Disaster Unemployment Assistance is now available for workers and self-employed individuals in 36 counties across Mississippi and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, the Mississippi Department of Employment Security announced Thursday.

The aid is in response to the severe winter storm that impacted the region. Eligible individuals can apply for benefits to help recover from the economic effects of the disaster, according to the department.
